Back from Adelaide after a 3 course photo shoot at the some of the best courses in Adelaide - Royal Adelaide, Kooyonga and Glenelg. Fluctuating weather made it a bit harder than nornal and capturing 3 courses added a bit of pressure also.

How exciting was this! The air freight shipment of my book Great Golf Down Under arrived yesterday and today the first official order went out the door. It was an memorable time when Gary from Couriers Please (nice name...) picked up our first package of 8 books going to an interstate golf club.

After what seemed to be an inordinately long amount of time (yet in the scheme of publishing was quite quick) our first copies of Great Golf Down Under arrived in our offices. This was indeed an exciting time where all the months of preparation had finally come to the point of a finished product.

Headed over to Western Australia today for a photo shoot of Cottesloe Golf Club. This private members golf club is a bit of a quiet gem with not many people knowing much about it. The golf tour operators dont use it as the club likes to remain private but it is a great golf course that provides a nice variety of golf holes to get you thinking. Had great weather for the duration of my time over there which was fantastic!

I was commissioned by the Denarau Golf & Racquet Club to take a series of photos of the courses on the holiday island of Denarau. This island is flat as a pancake as it is reclaimed land from the ocean. Difficult to get any kind of elevation on shots which was one challenge.
The other challenge was rain, rain, rain and then some more rain! Maureen and I were there for 4 days (arrived on Tuesday) and it rained torrentially for 3 1/2 days. Not what you want when you are trying to capture images of what is supposed to be an ideal sunshine laden golfing destination.

Today was a wonderful day. I spent about an hour in the sky flying above the cliffs of Cape Kidnappers in a 1 passenger helicopter (with an engine about the size of a lawnmower!). When you visit a course such as Cape Kidnappers which is literally built on the edge of the cliff it is best represented from the air.
